My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Angel, the sweet and playful pup with a heart full of love and a smile that could light up the world! This good girl loves spending time outside, whether it's chasing after a toy, exploring new scents, or simply basking in the sunshine. If you're looking for a furry companion to share your outdoor adventures, Angel is ready to be your partner in fun.

Don't let her tough-girl act in the kennel fool you-Angel is a total softie at heart. Once you get to know her, you'll see her gentle soul shining through. She's all about making connections and building trust with her humans, and when she does, her affection knows no bounds.

Angel is the kind of dog who will keep you smiling right alongside her. If you're ready to add this playful, loving girl to your family, stop by the shelter to meet her in person or fill out an adoption application on our website. Angel is patiently waiting to bring joy, love, and endless smiles to her forever home!

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
