My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pet is not in our shelter`s care, so anyone interested in adopting must contact the owner directly. Please reach out to learn more or to set up a meeting, the owner of the pet did submit the following information:

It breaks my heart to rehome my puppies, but I’m feeling completely overwhelmed. My children have been through some very difficult experiences, and I thought having emotional support puppies would help them. Unfortunately, my son struggles with significant mental health challenges, and managing both his needs and the puppies has become too much for me. The constant cleaning and their energy have left me feeling very depressed.

Both puppies are absolutely wonderful—friendly, playful, and great with our two cats, who we`ve had for five years. They are easygoing and deserve loving homes where they can thrive.

To make things harder, my husband recently lost his job, and we’re struggling to afford even the basics like puppy pads for the puppies. If you or someone you know can help give these sweet pups a new home, please reach out. Thank you.

Additional adoption info

In the Central Valley, we have an over abundance of homeless and unwanted pets. There are simply too many companion animals and not enough homes! But you can help. One way to start putting an end to pet overpopulation is to adopt your next pet from the Central California SPCA. In doing so, you immediately give a home to an animal that didn’t have one, and you reduce the overall number of homeless pets in our community.

You are saving a life and enhancing your own. You are also helping to support the nearly 17,000 animals that come through our doors each year.

Please note that these are sheltered, homeless animals that are not always perfect in every way. They may need extra time to adjust or have unforeseen behavioral or medical problems. While we strive for successful placement by providing as healthy, well socialized animals as possible, we can only provide any history we have received, collected, or observed from staff or volunteers during their stay. More about this shelter

As the premier animal welfare organization in California’s Central Valley since 1895, we are committed to leading and serving our community of animals and people by providing programs and services which serve all the stages of an animal’s life. These programs include Adoptions, Rescue, Humane Investigations, Foster Care, Owner Surrenders, Outreach, Humane Education, Veterinary Services, Spay/Neuter programs, and many other Pet Services.

The CCSPCA also assumes responsibility, by contract, to perform the Animal Control and Leash Law services for the City of Fresno dating back to September 1951.

The modern facilities and our caring staff offer safe refuge, nourishment, medical care, and love to every animal in our Animal Center.

We are not federally, state, or locally funded and do not receive aid from any national organization (including the ASPCA). The CCSPCA owns its own land, buildings, and equipment purchased with privately donated funds. Our funds come from our loyal supporters, allowing us to provide many vital services to our community.

Donate a bed!

Please help us to make our shelter dogs and cats more comfortable while waiting for homes. We still don't have enough Kuranda beds for all of our kennels. We need them in all sizes. If you would like to donate a bed so a dog or cat can sleep in proper comfort, please click here.
