My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Velvet, she is a super cute grey tabby with the sweetest little face and a heart that's slowly blooming. While still a bit shy, she’s discovering how much she loves the good things in life—like curling up in cozy blankets for long naps and playtime with her favorite cat friends.

With a patient and understanding family, She will thrive. She’s a quiet soul who enjoys gentle interactions and will reward you with his trust and cuddly charm as she grows more confident. Her playful side shines brightest when she’s with other cats, making him a great companion for a feline friend.

If you’re ready to offer Velvet the love and time she needs to come out of her shell, you’ll gain a sweet and snuggly addition to your family!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adoptable animals are located at our Taft Campus at 2200 N Taft Hill Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80524 or for more info call 970-484-8516.

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.
