Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Say hi to Ophelia! She's the perfect mix of sass and contempt towards hoomans. This cat is one of the most judgmental cats we've had the pleasure of fostering for TCR. She's better than you and she knows it. She has a very obvious RBF when she's annoyed.
Ophelia likes quiet serenity and peace. She'll hit you with "the look" if you're acting out of line. Ophelia is also judgmental of what gender you are. Sorry men, you're going to have to work extra hard if you want her love. She plays hard to get! Just ask her foster dad about Ophelia's opinion of him. Foster mom is the favorite and foster dad is just the spare. However, once you wear down that tough exterior she will accept food bribes in the form of payment of wet food and Churu treats.
Once Ophelia accepts you into her inner circle, she loves loves loves love! She does a yoga stretch and she needs you to scratch down her back. She also loves attention under her chin and behind her ears. She has a cute little hop and a skip over to her favorite perching spot. When she is very comfortable she will flip on her back and lay next to her foster mom. She has a big purr for such a little girl!
Ophelia would love to go to a home with another calm kitty that can show her the ropes. She's young enough to maybe integrate into a home with cat-savvy dogs that could respect her space and not be too in her business. Young children might be too much for her, but older children that can respect her space might be okay for her. Her foster parents think it would be best for her to chill in a small room while she gets used to your routine and has a chance to bond with her new person(s).
Ophelia is about six months old. She would be the perfect kitty to curl up next to you while you read a good book, or if you just want to relax to a movie marathon night. Please apply today!

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.
2.
Approve Application
We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.
3.
Interview
We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.
4.
Meet the Pet
Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
