Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Named for a well remembered Lawrenceville restaurant, Smoke is one of the more affectionate of the bunch. Usually first out of the room in the morning and always purring, Smoke has the unique ability to melt into your pets (and melt your heart).
Smoke is the only fully black cat of the Lawrenceville Crew and his fur is super soft and just a touch on the long side (aka glorious and magnificent to pet). Each morning, this little dude charges out of the cat room and snakes around your feet giving you silent meows (sometimes they have a tiny squeak to them) until you pick him up and cuddle him. He has a special spot on his cheek that turns him into complete jelly until he oozes onto the ground.
As cute and cuddly as he is, he is also equal parts playful and troublemaker. Full of energy, Smoke loves to play with toys and wrestle with his siblings. Smoke would do best with another cat he can play with and follow around. He would likely also do well with cat-savvy dogs, and respectful kiddos of any age.
Smoke, along with the rest of the Lawrenceville crew, is participating in our robust foster kitten training program - which means he routinely is held, gets his paws touched, tolerates the hand vacuum, participates in brushing, has his nails clipped, his ears cleaned, his face washed and practices safe belly patting (could it truly not be a trap?!). He’s well adjusted and ready to have endless cuddles in his forever home!
Smoke is approximately four months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Please apply for him (and a littermate?) today!

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.
2.
Approve Application
We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.
3.
Interview
We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.
4.
Meet the Pet
Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!
6.
Pay Fee
7.
Take the Pet Home
Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
