Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Klayah is a 6 month old GSD mix who was pulled as part of "Angel Retreat's ACCT's of love program. With this program we aim to pull 5-10 hard-to-place dogs per month from a very high-volume, under-resourced urban kill shelter in our local area.
Klayah originally came into the other shelter as a stray but was scheduled to be euthanized, due to lack of space and her time being up. Thanks to our generous donors we were able to step in and give her a chance at a happy ending.
Sadly, situations like this happen almost daily due to the severe pet overpopulation problem, as well as the sad reality that people are turning a blind eye to it and are continuing to breed and purchase dogs while thousands of dogs in shelters are dying every single day. If you don't understand, please take a trip to any high kill city shelter and see just how many AMAZING dogs are dying every single day, due to no other reason than lack of homes.
This should go without saying, but we require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY. She will need a active family up to the task of providing her. The mental stimulation and training that she will need. Breed experience is STRONGLY preferred!
If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org
