My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ice is THE cat person’s dog! We think he’s part Siberian Husky, part kitty cat. He rubs his head on your leg for affection, pounces when he zooms and he has a very feline mix of independence and affection. He’s a very sweet and smart boy, kid friendly and cat tolerant!

Ice is estimated to be around 2 years old, and he currently weighs in at 60 lovable snuggleable pounds. Ice is a rescue, his exact age and breed are a mystery to us, but we’re confident in guessing “Husky.” Ice has one deep chocolate brown eye, and once icy blue eye- he’s such a handsome boy!

Fall in love with Ice here: https://youtu.be/A7gf5wcrHhc?si=0t2Bnw8w1Xp7xDde

Ice has been cat tested here at the rescue, our house cat Tom approves him for a home with dog-savvy kitties. Ice has spent time with other cats, out and about in the world, and does just fine with them! We think Ice would fit in so well in just about any cat-lover’s home.

His foster mom is obsessed with him! It’s hard not to be. His foster family brags that he is extremely great with people, great on leash, and extremely chill. He does well in the car, and absolutely loves his pup cups.

Ice is an adoring boy that connects with his people in such meaningful ways. Ice will gaze into your eyes and nuzzle your cheek in affection, hold hands, hug and snuggle. He’s a kisser, so expect some face kisses from this guy. Ice is also super sweet and tolerant with kids, watch him play with a four year old in his video. We think Ice would make a perfect family dog- maybe even a great “Christmas puppy?!”

Ice loves treats, and is treat motivated, which will make any further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. He’s so smart and already knows “sit,” “lay down” and “paw” among other commands.

The most adorable thing about Ice is that he will climb up on the couch with you for a conversation. This boy is vocal, not in a barky way, but in a talkative way. He loves to connect with his people, he’s one of those dogs that will truly feel like a member of the family. Knowing Ice, it will be love at first sight when he meets his forever family.

Ice is dog-friendly, but he’s more of a people’s dog. We think Ice would be happiest in a home as an only-dog, or as a doggy sibling to a mellow female that can understand his independent, chill personality.

Ice’s ideal home will have at least one loving human to snuggle with, maybe some kids running around, maybe a kitty or two. Ice humbly requests that you stock up on Milkbones in anticipation of his arrival, and schedule a pup-cup stop on your way to his new home. This handsome boy is ready for forever love, eager to meet you! We are willing to test Ice with anything you need us to in order to ensure that he is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family
● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test

● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer
● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates,

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
