My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Lovey!

If you're looking for a playful, affectionate friend who adores cuddling and adventure, look no further. I'm two years young and 50 pounds of pure love and loyalty. I get along with kids of all ages, especially the little ones, and love meeting new doggy friends.

I'm curious about the world around me and always up for a good play session with my toys, but I also love relaxing with my humans. I know my basic commands, am highly treat-motivated, and eager to please, which makes training fun for both of us. Oh, and I'm housetrained too – I just don’t love being confined.

I’m calm on car rides, walk well on a leash, and only need one or two walks a day to keep me happy and healthy. If you’re looking for a friendly, cuddly companion, I’d love to meet you and become your new best friend!

Key Stats:

  • Dog-friendly
  • Kid-friendly (all ages)
  • Lap dog vibes
  • Treat-motivated and knows basic commands
  • Low to medium energy, loves playtime and snuggles

Let’s make each day an adventure together!

More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
