My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whew! I am super-duper happy to be sitting in the puppy room at the shelter! I am warm and dry and I have a full tummy! I was rescued by a kind stranger as I ran beside a busy road here in town. I don't know how I managed to get to that busy road or how I managed to avoid disaster with a car or a truck! Anyway my kind rescuer put me in her car and dropped me off at the shelter. I waited my allotted time and I am now available for adoption. I am a cute Maltese mix that is about a year old. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. Make an appointment to meet me soon!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
