Don't be intimidated - Sancho the 115 pound MARSHMALLOW is available for adoption through High Desert Doberman Rescue
Sancho will turn 4 years old in December, he's fully vetted, microchipped, and healthy as a horse - he's also the size of one 😄
Sancho has Color Dilution Alopecia (CAD), a genetic disorder that Blue and Fawn colored Doberman pinschers are highly predisposed to. This just means he's almost as nekkid as YOU, and, just like you, he'll need regular bathing (once a week is fine) and skin protection in frigid and hot temperatures. Bonus - he LOVES baths and LOVES his skin care routine.
Rest assured that anyone up to no good that takes a peep into your yard or window will never forget those orange eyes and bone-shaking warning woof from Dogzilla, BUT - as intimidating as Sancho LOOKS, he is GENTLE and he is KIND. He is great on a leash, he kennels, kitty-approved, and his cowardice > curiosity with chickens, turkeys, emu, goats, and horses. Sancho knows his job is to be a family member - You can trust this dog with your kids 100%.

More about this rescue
High Desert Doberman Rescue is dedicated to rescuing homeless, displaced, abandoned and shelter dogs throughout New Mexico and Southwest geographic region of the United States.
Working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue animals and provide them with loving temporary care while awaiting adoption.
We serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and optimal nutrition.
Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in need to the extent our finances allow.
We are determined to keep administrative expenses as low as possible so virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the animals. Our group also remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the dog beyond the adoption process.
