Lucy is a one-year-old bundle of love with a heart as big as her playful spirit. At just 46 pounds, she`s the perfect size for snuggles and adventures. Being deaf, Lucy has a special way of connecting with her people, relying on her intuition and a deep bond to communicate. She`s quiet and calm. Lucy has lived with two other dogs and may find comfort and confidence in their company. She’s playful and adores toys, especially chasing after them. When she`s not playing, she loves nothing more than a good belly rub. She greets visitors with a wagging tail and a kiss and is happiest wherever you are. Lucy has experience living with kids and is described as cuddly, goofy, and loving. She’s ready to be your loyal best friend and fill your life with joy. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are here to help you find the one for you! When you come to the shelter please bring your photo ID.

2.
Take the Pet Home

Adopt and the pet is legally yours! Or choose to "slumber party" which is a trial adoption. You will have up to two weeks to decide.

3.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is $60 for a dog and $35 for a cat. Those living within Citrus County, FL. will also purchase a $10 county license fee.

All adopters must be at least 18 years old. The adoption fee is $60 for a dog and $35 for a cat. Those living within Citrus County, FL. will also purchase a $10 county license fee. All pets are spayed/neutered, current on age and species appropriate vaccinations and flea and heartworm prevention. Kittens under 6 months of age are tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), and Cats over 6months of age are tested for FeLV and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Dogs over 6 months of age are tested for heartworm disease. If the dog is heartworm positive, the treatment will be provided by our Veterinarian, at no cost to the adopter, sponsored by our generous community partner Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP).
