Hi, I'm Woodford! My siblings and I are ready for forever homes to call our own! We were born here at the Adoption Center on August 23rd. Our mom Marion took such great care of us with help from the humans but its time to fly the nest into perfect homes of our own! We are social and happy and active (read: zippy, speedy, fast!) puppies. We are looking for new homes that can continue to help us grow up into the best dogs we can be! Since we are still babies, we are ready to learn all the things from house training and basic commands to whatever you want to teach us! More about this shelter

The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
