THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING PLEASE CALL 405 227 0815 FOR INFO ON THIS PET SOmeone is really missing out on Kelly she is such a nice dog, she plays with her toys all day and is quite something to watch, she is great with the cats and other dogs, she would be great with kids and loves to chase the ball and give kisses, she is delightful. SHe is in a home with 8 other dogs every member votes Kelly the best dog there.. (Even the old grouch that does not like dogs says she is a GOOD dog, something coming from him!!!) Kelly is 4 months old (12-1-05) mix puppy. She is sooo sweet. She loves giving kisses and getting petted and hugged. Just like any young pup she is happy, and energetic. Kelly will need to be house broken and will need leash training. She was abandoned in downtown OKC and can be timid at times. Despite her hard beginning Kelly just wants to share her love and enthusiasm. She lives with other dogs and cats and loves to play and chase balls. She has a unique appearance with a white spotted body and a black head, she has one large black spot on her back and tail. Her tail never stops wagging and she will always come when she is called. She cannot wait to get her belly rubs and loves anyone who talks to her kindly and is willing to hold and pet her. She is the cutest, sweetest, little girl. She weighs approximately 15 lbs and will be a medium sized dog. She seems to be very intelligent and willing to learn. Kelly has a gentle, loving temperment and loves her treats and toys. She does not dig or tear up items in the yard, she just wants to please. This sweet girl needs a loving, forever home. She is spayed, up to date on shots and on heartworm preventative. Housebroken.. SPAY/NEUTER, TODAY SAVE A LIFE TOMORROW

PLEASE! DO NOT APPLY UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE YOU CAN PICK THE DOG UP!!! or it will likely be adopted before you get here

IF YOU ARE SEEING IT, IT IS AVAILABLE !. My site is updated daily.

All dogs carry an adoption fee which helps to pay for deworming, flea control, spay/neuter, HW test
vaccinations and to fix any ailments they may have. The fee is usually less than the vet work they have had.

Thank You for considering adoption. Once approved and an appointment set, I will send directions
SORRY I DO NOT SHIP DOGS
FOR THE SAFETY AND COMFORT OF MY DOGS I DO REQUIRE ALL DOGS IN THE HOME BE

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adoption

If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful dogs, the first step in the process is filling out an adoption application.
http://www.oksaveadog.org/adoption/online-application-form/
You can be assured that all the information will be used for the sole purpose of finding a companion that fits your lifestyle, and will never be sold or distributed in any manner. I need this information to see if a dog will work in your home, I will be the first one to tell you if a certain dog will not work in your home. My goal is to place dogs in their LAST home, so much thought is given to this process.

A minimal adoption fee will be charged. This is only to recoup some of the costs involved in caring for each dog. When I take in a dog they go straight to the vet as soon as she can take them. They are given shots, de-wormed, given Front line for flea/tick control, and spayed or neutered.

Please Note: I receive little assistance through grants or any other source except donations. My monthly cost for maintenance (food, flea/tick control, heart worm preventative) is $2000 to $2500. That doesn’t include additional needs such as pens, fencing, crates,
vet bills($3000 monthly) etc. When you consider these ongoing costs, you realize the adoption fee is truly minimal!

If you’re considering adoption, please fill out an application. If you are interested in one of our dogs I will contact you after reviewing your application. If you do not find a dog on our dogs page that interests you, don’t worry, there are many more needy dogs than I am able to house at my location — I will help you give a deserving dog a forever home!

Spaying and Neutering are REQUIRED – no dog is ever adopted intact…if you wonder why, please read the below…
The Facts About Spaying and Neutering

One female dog and her offspring can be the source of 67.000 puppies in six short years
One female cat and her offspring can produce 420,000 kittens in seven years
Spaying a female eliminates the possibility of it developing uterine or ovarian cancer and greatly reduces the chances of breast cancer
Neutering a male reduces incidence of prostate enlargement and prostate cancer later in life
Neutering will make your pet more affectionate and less likely to roam, get in fights or become lost
Pets become fat and lazy from a result of overeating and lack of exercise not from spaying or neutering
There is no need for a female to have a litter before she is spayed
Females can be spayed as early as 8 weeks old, it is MUCH less stressful on them.
Neutering a male is an easier operation than spaying and is recommended as early as 8 weeks
Your pet may feel some slight discomfort after the operation but this is controllable and lasts only a short while
Having puppies is much more painful than spaying because there is no anesthesia

We always have more dogs than we have funds . . . your donation is much appreciated!
OK Save a Dog is a 501(c)(3), not for profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.

More about this rescue

OK Save a Dog is a not-for-profit dog rescue in Prague, Oklahoma, committed to saving as many good dogs as possible.

This rescue is not in the business of buying or selling dogs . . . the adoption fee is designed to help recoup some of the money that has been spent on each dog – at a minimum, spaying/neutering, heart worm check and preventative, flea and tick control, de-worming and shots. The adoption fee allows me to continue helping dogs. I consider it an honor to be able to do what I do . . . I hope you consider it an honor to be able to help these deserving dogs by fostering, adopting or donating to help support them.

By adopting from us, you save more than one life! This is because as soon as we place one we can then go to the pound and save another.

We do ask that you fill out an application before visiting because we spend too much time and money saving dogs to just return them to the same situation that they came out of. If you do not see what you want, ask; there may well be one on death row that we know about but are too full to take in.

Thanks for helping us save these lovely dogs. We are a few doing the work of hundreds.
