Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey There! My name is Sherlock and I am a big, goofy, 10 month old puppy! I have been told I am a Labrador/Golden mix, but whatever I am, my foster mom says I am the cutest thing in the history of the world! She says I make her laugh everyday.
I am always happy! I love everyone, dogs and people alike! I think I would love kids, but because I am 70 lbs of puppy, older, dog savvy children would be best. I am trying, but I am a bouncy boy! I would love another dog in the household to play with! I really love my foster sister. Tug of War and wrestling is super fun!
I am working on my leash skills, but that is still a work in progress. You see when I came into the rescue, my eyes hurt pretty bad. My foster mom says it was something called Entropion. My eyelashes were curled the wrong way and scratching my cornea in both eyes. So, that meant surgery for me, and you know what else that means...the dreaded cone! I am all better now so we get to do some leash training. I will be working hard until the day we meet! Oh, and I like to carry something along with me on my walks. A ball, pinecone, stick, whatever I can find. My foster mom says it is just the cutest.
When I first came to my foster home, I got to try out the pool. I think I like it? I definitely like water and drink with gusto! I love my toys and will play and throw them up in the air. So much fun! And the zoomies? I'm a professional! My foster Mom and Dad laugh and I jump in the air like Tigger!
Now about the cats....I love them. Maybe too much. Even the dog savvy cats in my household aren't a fan of me. I think they are toys and the cats don't love that. I don't know why! I think they are super fun to chase! So, I guess no cats for me.
I take treats ever so gently and am learning to sit with them. My foster mom says it feels like I don't even have teeth because I am so gentle. She is funny! While I am very much a puppy, I can be so gentle and would love to cuddle on the couch with you. It is my biggest wish!
Now, because I am still a puppy, I do chew things I'm not supposed to. The fancy water bowls in my foster home are my favorite! Especially if they are nice and full of water! I am a really good boy and sleep all night like an angel in my crate. My foster mom says it is best that I am in there when she leaves the house because it keeps me out of trouble.
My foster mom told me she loves me very much and would keep me if the cats would agree and they said absolutely not! So, if you are looking for a happy, playful, gentle, fun, absolutely beautiful, best boy in all the land, contact your family rep before my foster mom convinces the cats to change their mind!If you are interested in making this Lab part of your family, please contact your SCLRR family representative.
If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home.
