My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gabby is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian.
Gabby is a social cat. She's in a house presently with 4 humans (2 adults, a 2 year old, and a newborn) and 2 dogs. She's very affectionate and even tries to rub on the dogs. She does well with all the other creatures (she doesn't ever claw the dogs or the kids), but tends to want to be the focus of affection, or at least get her time in, so will get jealous. Recommend a home where there are other social creatures. For the human owner, recommend someone that has the time to give Gabby 1 on 1 time a few times a week. She also likes to go outside most nights and will return that night or in the morning. She's a good mouser and has even caught a rat outside.

Additional adoption info

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.
