My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A Pup Who Knows What She Wants!

Meet Audrey Griswold! Audrey Griswold is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).

Born on October 14, 2024, sweet Audrey Griswold is a young, mottled gold and brown colored puppy (almost brindle on her face) with lighter toes. Audrey Griswold is part of the Christmas Vacation litter, and she traveled with her mom and seven siblings from the Bi-Stone Rescue in Mexia, Texas to find new homes in the PNW area. We are currently taking applications for Audrey Griswold, and she will be able to go home with an adopter after her spay surgery in mid-December.

Funny and curious, Audrey Griswold knows what she wants in life. She loves attention, and she isn’t shy about letting you know when she wants some, whether it is from her mama or the closest human. Vocal in an endearing way, she adores being picked up and often prefers attention over eating. Energetic Audrey Griswold can be a bit rambunctious; when playing with her siblings, she will often steal their toys. She is always up for a game of rough house and tires out her littermates. She is also quite smart; she was the first to figure out how to escape from the pen.

Audrey Griswold is a very young puppy and is settling into a foster home with her mother and siblings. When old enough, she will begin potty, leash, and obedience training. We will be learning more about Audrey Griswold in the coming days, so please check back for more information. In the meantime, Audrey Griswold is spending her days getting lots of cuddles, playtime, love, and new adventures with her foster family. Audrey Griswold is growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for her new home.

Audrey Griswold’s idea home? She seeks someone to love who will love her in return, who will ensure she learns the skills that will make her a happy and well-rounded dog. Audrey would do well in a home with kids, dogs, and cats who aren’t fazed by her sassy personality. Treats and games and warm blankets would be wonderful, too. Does this sound like your home?

What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process?

Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days.

  1. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!).

  2. Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process.

  3. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters).

  4. Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time.

Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue

  • Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.

  • Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.

  • Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.

About Path of Hope Rescue

  • At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes.

  • We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment.

  • Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.

  • Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.
