Dog Name: Link Hogthrob
Breed: Poodle Mix
Sex: M
Age: 1
Weight: 11 lbs
*Medical Needs: A neuter appointment has been requested, at BVSPCA in Georgetown and is scheduled for 1/9/25. This appointment must be kept as a condition of the adoption. Adopters must live in Delaware and/or within 1 hour of the appointment and be willing to take him there.
*Housebroken: No. This is a work in progress and he needs to be taken out frequently.
*Crate trained: Well, he’s easy to pick up and put in there but he doesn’t like it and he’ll never go in on his own. He’s not shy about telling you all about how he doesn’t like being in there either.
*Good in the car: Yes.
*Good on a leash: Yes. Excited at first, but walks good after a few minutes.
*Energy level: High…like energy bunny high! He’s always on the go. Jumps up and down as if he’s attached to a spring. The only time he’s not running around playing is if he’s snuggling on the couch with someone.
*Need a fenced in yard: No. Does good with leash walks. He’s perfectly fine running around in the house.
*Dog Friendly: Yes. Will play if they want, goes about his business if they don’t. Takes correction from other dogs.
*If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No. He loves toys and people! With that said, he’s not good alone for long periods of time. He would need another dog, if someone’s not home for hours at a time.
*Cat Friendly: Yes. They’re as big as him, but he will chase them though.
*Kid Friendly: Yes
*If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any with proper supervision. Be aware that he doesn’t like to jump, so any toddlers would need to know how to handle this. My 2 1/2 yr old grandson does fine. Link also likes to steal toys.
*Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about: Happy, happy, happy describes Link! No matter what he’s doing, he’s just happy. Going on walks, playing with toys, getting a bowl of food, snuggling on the couch with someone…you name it and he just seems so happy. He’s a big lover of whatever someone is eating and takes pride in mooching for anything he can get. He also loves toys! He’s always carrying something around in his mouth. Link came from a home where he was never alone and would not be good in a home where he’d be alone for long periods of time. If Link Hogthrob sounds like your kind of muppet, he’d love to meet you!
