Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miss Honey! Otherwise known as Honey Bun, is a hunk of all the love! With no fears in the world, Honey is a true people doggy! Greeting everyone with a wagging tail and wiggly butt, she will do amazing in just about any home! Curious at heart, enjoys spending her time in our lobby area, adventuring around, and taking her naps at our feet, or on our laps if she can! At about 6 months old, and 20 pounds; she is literally perfect! We can't get over her quirky personality, as she romps around with toys in her mouth like she's the coolest girl around! Similarly, she will do anything for people to call her a "Good Girl." and pop a treat in her mouth, a true treat-motivated pooch who thrives off of people, AND other animals. What gets any better?? If you're scouting for the perfect pooch will has no problem with ANY plans that day, whether you're going to work and toss her a bone, or going on a big hike - she's game for anything, and just as content doing nothing! We honestly think Honey spends a majority of her time snoozing, and she doesn't seem to mind in the slightest! A quick toss of a ball for 5 minutes and she's lights out. A true darling pup, showing the BEST qualities of puppy love!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
