My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dwarf must really be mixed with a fennec fox, because those ears are something else! They almost look photoshopped, and they're just so stinking cute! I honestly think if he ran fast enough he would catch flight, but anyway, Dwarf is also a SWEETHEART. At about 5 months old, and only around 15-20 pounds; we don't think he will be getting big anytime soon. With that said, it works out in his favor, as being a lapdog is HIS thing. Dwarf adores everyone and everything, and while he may come off as shy at first, give him a couple treats and suddenly he's your best friend, within seconds! We can't get enough of Dwarf, AND his loving here! Without even mentioning, he's crate-trained, leash-trained, and has a good start on house-breaking all at the hands of his loving foster family!

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
