I adopted Michelle from the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Shelter when she was 11 wks now 7 mos . She is a shy but very sweet girl. She was rescued from a sewer before being taken to the shelter, so she is a survivor. She likes to be loved on & being petted on her terms. If you approach her calmly she will let you pet her & she will purr; other times, if she feels nervous she'll leave. She is very clean & has great litter box habits. Michelle is calm and loves to sit by a window or snuggle up in a comfy cat bed or your bed. She will come and keep you company if you're relaxing, watching TV, or working. I think she just likes to feel in control of what is happening to her, being picked up makes her nervous and she simply tries to get down, so just follow her lead. She gets along with two other cats, but if they're playing she stays away. I think she will do well in a calm home as an only cat or with one other cat because of her reserved & nervous nature.
