This perfectly browned turkey is ready to spend Thanksgiving at your house! While Butterball isn't the bird you put on your table, you can put him to work as a turkey taste tester, guest greeter, catcher of dropped food and plate cleaner when you're all done.
We can't say enough good things about this 5ish-year-old boy. He's highly trained, very well-behaved, knows tons of commands/tricks (even double high five!) and is perfectly housebroken. He's great as an office greeter because he loves all people and is super calm, happy and smiley. His only requirement is lots of booty scratches! He appears to be fine with cats and most dogs, but will require a meet and greet with any dog siblings. Butterball is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Whoever adopts him will be getting a once-in-a-lifetime turkey...err, doggie!

Interview
We will call your veterinarian and personal references. We'll also call you if we have questions or need more information.

Approve Application
We will approve or deny the application. You may be approved to adopt, but not necessarily the same animal you originally applied for.

Meet the Pet
This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.

You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.

Our facility is open 12-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and 12-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. We are closed Mondays and Wednesdays but are happy to arrange appointments outside business hours.
