My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet this sweet 2-year-old Husky/Labradoodle mix Radar!

A playful and loving male pup who's looking for his forever home!

He may be a little shy at first, but with a little patience and understanding, he warms up to those he trusts. This handsome guy has a big love for the outdoors-rain or shine- so if you're someone who enjoys walks, hikes, or just spending time outside, he'll be your perfect companion. He also has a fun little habit of digging, so a secure yard where he can safely explore would be ideal. If you're looking for a loyal, active pup who enjoys the great outdoors and is ready to form a bond with the right family, this adorable mix might be the perfect fir for you!

Radar even knows some tricks like paw, shake, sit and highfive!

Call us today to learn even more about Radar, or stop by today to meet him in person from 12pm-3pm at the West Van shelter! He's very excited to meet you and find his forever home!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
