Meet Rosemary! Estimated to be four years old, this happy, energetic girl loves her people enthusiastically. She loves to give kisses, and she wields a surprisingly strong Pyr paw!
When we first rescued Rosie from a local animal shelter, she had come to them in a severely emaciated state. She weighed only 43 pounds and had to be hand carried into the emergency vet. After treatment and a blood transfusion, she was released to her foster home. Since then, she has gained at least 20 pounds and a huge amount of energy.
Rosie has the energy of a puppy and loves to play. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and loves to play with them all.
Because she was so starved, she is very protective of her food and wants the other dogs’ meals as well. She needs to be fed separately from other dogs and has to be confined, much to her displeasure, until the others have finished eating.
She has a taste for paper and foam stuffing, so you would have to be careful with those objects around your house.
Rosie walks well on a leash, and is learning that car rides are not bad things. She has a little trouble loading up, but then settles down for the ride. She has not been crate trained, and she suffers from FOMO (fear of missing out).
She sometimes forgets her house training, but she’s working on it.
If you are looking for an energetic dog who will keep you entertained and will love you with all she has, Rosemary just might be the dog for you!
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old.
