Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Muffin!
Muffin is a 3.5-year-old French Bulldog with a lively spirit and a big heart. She’s ready to find her forever home after overcoming several challenges with the #FreedomSquad. Here’s what you need to know about this spunky girl
Muffin arrived with severe ear hematomas, nearly requiring surgery. Thankfully, daily cleanings and medication saved her ears, but her adoptive family must commit to weekly cleanings to maintain her health.
She also battled Giardia which took several weeks of medication cycles, which is now fully resolved. However, Muffin has a habit of eating her poop, so ongoing positive redirection is crucial. She is getting much better and what seems to work is keeping her belly full and cleaning up her poop once she is finished going while giving her positive reinforcement as well.
This silly girl is a bit more High-energy and loves zoomies with her furry friends. Muffin has a balanced temperament, not overly dominant or submissive—but will defend herself if needed as most rescues that come into the freedom squad. She adores cuddles, treats, and being around other dogs. With the right family they will get the energy out of her and she will take long naps on the couch with her favorite human. She absolutely loves playing with toys and tug-of-war with her friends are her favorite activities, though she only recently discovered the joy of toys! As Muffin is shy at first, she has blossomed by watching and learning from her friends at the rescue.
What Muffin needs is a family committed to her weekly ear care and keeping her on a skin allergy probiotic. Continued work on positive training and redirecting her behaviors. A playful environment with other dogs, as she thrives in a pack.
Some fun facts about Muffin is she loves lounging in baby pools during summer, soaking up the sun. Treats are her favorite motivator for training, but she is very stubborn, she is more of a follower than a leader! Her playful personality shines once she feels safe and comfortable.
If you’re looking for a spunky, affectionate, and playful companion, Muffin could be the perfect addition to your home! She is vaccinated, microchipped and spay, her adoption donation fee is $950.00. Please apply for Muffin on our website.
