Little guy Champ is exactly that, a champ! You see, he was surrendered to one of our veterinary partners after being hit by a car, when his owners could not afford the care needed to save him. He needed to have an eye removed and he has a fractured pelvis. Since he arrived at his foster home with TNT, he has been recovering from his injuries and is doing great! Champ is an 11 month old Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix and he weighs about 8 pounds. He's used to being in his pen during his recovery and is totally content there. He keeps it clean and does well going to the bathroom outside on a schedule. He is fine with other dogs and we think he'd be fine with kiddos, too. He loves meeting new friends!
He's a fun loving guy with energy and curiosity to burn! He loves to go for walks, sniff everything outside, and entertain himself with a yak chew. He's not hindered at all by his missing eye - he goes up and down the stairs and plays just like any happy puppy. Champ is so happy to see his foster mom when she approaches his pen, he jumps into her arms. Apply to meet Champ today!
