My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who can resist a cute, snuggly cattle dog puppy? Crickett is an approximately 11-month-old, 25 lb female ACD. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Crickett is a whip smart, medium to high energy, affectionate puppy, who would make a perfect dog for an active individual or family. Here's a summary of what makes Crickett special: ï‚· Smart, curious, and eager to please: Loves to learn and warms up quickly to become your best friend. ï‚· Affectionate: Enjoys cuddles, kisses, and spending time with her people. ï‚· Active: Perfect for someone who loves to go for walks, hikes, or jogs. Crickett also enjoys swimming! ï‚· Gets along with other dogs: Ideally suited for a home with another playful pup but has done well with older dogs who prefer peace and quiet. ï‚· Well-behaved: Walks well on leash, enjoys car rides, and has good farm manners (respectful of the horses). ï‚· Housebroken: Mostly housetrained and does well in a crate. Crickett is still a puppy and working on chewing and not relocating shoes, clothes and toilet paper around the house. This is totally normal puppy behavior and with consistent positive reinforcement training, she will quickly learn what to chew on and what to leave alone. Crickett has shown interest in engaging with the cats but has not been aggressive towards them. She seems to be afraid of the dog-savvy cat who stands her ground. Crickett is wonderful dog who would be a great addition to an active family or single person. If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion, Crickett could be your perfect match. Crickett is being fostered in Adamstown, MD (contact her foster dad: kirkdruey@gmail.com). Complete an Application: https://search.app/x6VdVLYHVyXCqR9G7

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
