My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Reserved - Curious - Timid ** Hawk is a gentle little guy with a BIG purr. He loves getting up high and napping on a tall shelf. He's a little nervous in new situations with new people but loves a good snuggle and will purr and drool once he knows you. He enjoys exploring, lounging in a sink, and playing with his brother Balthazar. His sweetness and curiosity will make him a delightful addition to a low-key family. Sure, Hawk takes a little time to warm up, but by building his confidence with your care and support, he'll soon fill your home with love and laughter!

Hawk has tested negative for FeLV, but his littermate tested positive. Due to this exposure, we recommend Hawk be the only cat in your home or live with other FeLV-positive cats (like his sibling Balthazar). In addition, we recommend scheduling an FeLV retest with your vet in 30-60 days. For more info about FeLV, please read our Quick Guide at catadoptionteam.org/felv-handout.

Hawk's adoption fee is $225. For more information on Cat Adoption Team's pricing and policies, visit catadoptionteam.org.

HOW TO MEET ME: Hawk currently resides at the CAT Thrift Store. To start the adoption process for this kitty, please APPLY ONLINE-applications are reviewed in the order received, and you may be contacted to schedule an in-person meet-and-greet after you apply. If you then decide to adopt, you will complete an online adoption counseling session and schedule a pickup at a mutually agreed upon time.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is a private, nonprofit organization that relies on individual donations, grants, and our own fundraising to operate. We receive no federal, state, or government funding.

Adoption fees help offset some of the costs associated with providing for the cats and kittens in our care—this includes housing, medical care, enrichment, behavior modification, and more.

CAT uses variable adoption pricing. The adoption fee for each cat is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, health, and demand.

Adoption fees range from $15 to $200 for cats (1 year old and above) and $100 to $200 for kittens (2-11 months old). Thanks to the Aleece Runge Fund for Senior Cats, the adoption fee for all cats 8 years and older is waived. The adoption fee for each cat is included in their pet bio.

Adoption discounts apply for adopting a pair of cats or kittens. For details about our adoption process, please visit: https://catadoptionteam.org/adopt/process-fees

More about this shelter

Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the Pacific Northwest’s largest non-profit, limited-admission cat shelter with its own full-service on-site veterinary hospital. CAT works with our community to find loving placement for homeless cats and kittens in need. The cats available for adoption from CAT come to us through public surrender and through partnerships with other shelters, rescue groups, and veterinary offices. CAT works to take in cats that might otherwise be euthanized. With the support of our CAT community, we help about 3,000 cats find new homes each year, plus offer low-cost spay/neuter and other services to support cats and their families. Thank you for visiting our site and helping us save lives!
