**Receptive - Snuggly - Motivated ** Balthazar is a snuggler to the max! He loves to wiggle into blankets and get cozy! He can be nervous in new situations but allows petting and to be picked up. He likes playing with toys and watching cat TV from a cozy banana bed! This sweet little lap cat also love to play and hang out with his brother Hawk. HOW TO MEET ME: Balthazar currently resides at the CAT Thrift Store. To start the adoption process for this kitty, please APPLY ONLINE-applications are reviewed in the order received, and you may be contacted to schedule an in-person meet-and-greet after you apply. If you then decide to adopt, you will complete an online adoption counseling session and schedule a pickup at a mutually agreed upon time.

Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is a private, nonprofit organization that relies on individual donations, grants, and our own fundraising to operate. We receive no federal, state, or government funding.

Adoption fees help offset some of the costs associated with providing for the cats and kittens in our care—this includes housing, medical care, enrichment, behavior modification, and more.

CAT uses variable adoption pricing. The adoption fee for each cat is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, health, and demand.

Adoption fees range from $15 to $200 for cats (1 year old and above) and $100 to $200 for kittens (2-11 months old). Thanks to the Aleece Runge Fund for Senior Cats, the adoption fee for all cats 8 years and older is waived. The adoption fee for each cat is included in their pet bio.

Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the Pacific Northwest’s largest non-profit, limited-admission cat shelter with its own full-service on-site veterinary hospital. CAT works with our community to find loving placement for homeless cats and kittens in need. The cats available for adoption from CAT come to us through public surrender and through partnerships with other shelters, rescue groups, and veterinary offices. CAT works to take in cats that might otherwise be euthanized. With the support of our CAT community, we help about 3,000 cats find new homes each year, plus offer low-cost spay/neuter and other services to support cats and their families.
