My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Cécilia arrived at the Animal in September 2024 after being abandoned by her family. She lived in a small apartment with her friend Gretchen and several dogs. Her family decided to leave Gretchen and Cécilia in a shelter to give them a chance to find a family with the means and time to care for them. So a kind person took the two cats in for spaying and vaccinations, in order to later bring them to our shelter. Despite all these twists and turns, Cécilia has remained a charming little cat. Don't let her serious looks fool you: Cécilia is the shelter's little ball of love, with her cauliflower ears that froze in the cold. She has a passion for cuddling and loves being in contact with humans. Once in our arms (or on our shoulders), she never lets go. Cécilia is a cat who needs time and lots of love. She's ideally looking for a family who works from home to snuggle up to her all day long. Despite having lived with other animals before, Cécilia doesn't like the presence of other cats and is looking for a home where she'll be the only feline. Who will be lucky enough to adopt this sticky, affectionate little cat? Gretchen is an adult cat, therefore the adoption fees for her are $290. She is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation during the first month following the adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

In order to get a chance to adopt her, please fill out our adoption directly on our website:  https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
