Meet Cooper! He’s a handsome 2 year old, 68 lb, purebred Boxer born on 8/9/22. He was surrendered to us locally when his owner could no longer care for him. Sweet Cooper lives up to the Boxer breed personality…He’s convinced he IS a lap dog and nobody is a stranger. He will enthusiastically greet you with a smile and lean against you for pets and butt scratches, and then cuddle up with you on the couch for a movie. He is a playful boy who loves interacting with other dogs both large and small. He would love a home with another resident dog to play with. Cooper does great with a 6 ft fence, but can jump a 4 ft fence. He can be a little nervous in new situations, but he warms up quickly when given attention and positive feedback. He’s great with kids and said to be fine with cats. He is treat motivated and eager to please his humans. Cooper is currently working on his skills to “sit” on command. He needs some more work on “down” because jumping up on people is his favorite pastime. He is fully housebroken and crate trained, walks well on a leash, doesn’t bark much, and is a good boy in the home. Cooper is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, on preventatives, microchipped, and ready for adoption! This gorgeous guy has it all and is ready to make a wonderful companion and BFF for one lucky family! His adoption donation fee is: $415. We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!
