This is one incredible dog! She was another pregnant Bakersfield dump. She ended up having her 7 puppies in a junk over filled machine shop in the middle of nowhere in the Bakersfield orchards. We rescued her and her darling puppies. For a dog that was not treated well, had no life as a loved pet, she is doing spectacular. She goes on walks everyday, including a hike in the hills with other dogs. Zelda will make a perfect companion for someone who works from home, is a little adventurous, and loves a sweet cuddle monster, We are guessing she is between 3-4 years old. Just an absolute gem!
All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Pups are rescued from high-kill shelters in Kern County, Riverside and San Bernardino counties where the euthanasia rate is as high as 85%.
