My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little black puppy, so fluffy and spry.
With a wag in his tail and gleam in his eye.
He's searching for someone, a friend he can find,
With a warm loving heart and a curious mind.
He runs through the grasses, he leaps and he bounds,
He sniffs all the things while bouncing around.
Chasing a ball and tugging a toy
If you like these things too, than come meet this boy!

He's soft as a pillow, he's sweet as can be,
He still needs some help learning where he should pee.
He's learning his manners and hopes he can find
a very special human that is patient and kind.

Will you be the home that can watch this boy grow?
If you think you're the right fit, just don't be slow!
Put in that application, no time to waste
This boy wants a home, hurry, make haste!

Suess is awaiting his neuter appointment and is looking for a local foster to adopt home

Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
