My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Was it the ears or his adorable face that got your attention? I bet it was the ears! They deserve a moment of their own. Those ears belong to Mac, the friendliest, well-rounded, playful and loving hound mix you could ever dream of! Perfect is subjective but Mac has been called perfect by everyone who has met him, even more so if they spent time with him. He is playful, people-loving, joyful, and so affectionate. This is a dog that when he greets you at the door will make you forget about whatever the day threw your way. You are home to your tail-wagging best-boy, that’s the good stuff and what all dog lovers look forward to most! And if you are looking for a family dog that your kids can enjoy just as much as you, Mac is the one! He is gentle and patient with littles in such a wholesome good way that lights him up. Accepting hugs, sharing toys, attentive and with as many sweet kisses a kid with a dream dog could ever want. Take a look if you haven't already. https://youtu.be/Y3Lkljixyjg

Mac is estimated to be 1 year old, weighs 37 lbs, and is likely some type of hound mix. Given he is a rescue we cannot guarantee his age or breed but we do guarantee he has the ears to prove the hound and the happy bounce to show his age.
If you have seen his Get-To-Know Mac video, you have seen it, the moment you meet Mac, his happy, affectionate nature radiates from him. Mac adores meeting new people, whether on or off leash. He’s quick to make friends and loves letting you know how he feels about you with a gentle hug and sweet kisses. The best part about his size and that affectionate personality is he will happily let you pick him up to love on him.
That friendly nature doesn’t stop with other dogs, he is friendly meeting new dogs on-leash and off. He is a bit of a social butterfly when playing with a large group of dogs and has great dog manners, knowing who is inviting him to play versus the friends who just want the company. The hound in him shows everyone and then and you’ll hear his voice. He would love to live in a home with a playful friend to bounce around with. As for cats, they are just as welcome! He met our house cat and he was cautiously respectful and never attempted to chase him or push to get closer. He will be a great fit for a multi-pet household.

Thanks to Macs happy-go-lucky personality and his age, he is eager to learn and very attentive. He has the basics of leash walking down, you could take a walk straight away with no trouble but with a little polishing he will be a pro walking partner. He is eager to please and responds well to corrections so you are going to be showing off your new, amazing dog around the neighborhood in no time.
Mac and his inner hound can get chatty. It’s cute but an apartment neighbor might not enjoy it as much as we do so a house with a yard where he can vocalize his excitement and stretch his legs would suit him best. He’d thrive with a family that understands his playful personality and is ready to play, explore, teach, and love him with the same love he delivers.

Mac’s a goofy, loving, and enthusiastic pup who’s ready to bring so much happiness to a lucky family. He’s the perfect blend of affectionate and playful, with all the makings of a loyal and well-mannered companion.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
