My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $200, plus taxes
Location: CSHS Foster Home

Pixie came to us from a rescue partner in Wisconsin and has settled in well to her foster home.

She loves to play with her wand toy and is a very active kitty who fit in well with any household.

Pixie has been around dogs before so we believe it's possible that she would do well in a home with slow introductions to feline savvy dog friend. We are unsure how Pixie would do with other cats.

Pixie is about one year old, she is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with her vaccinations.

If you would like to meet Pixie, please submit an application on Carver Scott Humane Society's website today!

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
