My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Chandler is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees Mix who was rescued from euthanasia at a California Shelter. We are happy to have him in our rescue. Chandler knows how to sit, lay down, and paw. He's very affectionate and likes to give kisses. He's not super into being pet constantly but he accepts it well and allows touch no problem. Definitely likes quality time.  He walks well on leash but a little spooked by moving cars. Chandler LOVES his squeaky toys and enjoys rolling around with them. Chandler takes really well with reassurance, is treat motivated, and loves to be active.

We will be getting to know Chandler more and would love to find him a foster or adopter as soon as possible.

Additional adoption info

Great Pyrenees Rescue, Montana's mission is to help rehabilitate abused and displaced Great Pyrenees dogs, and find them the best forever home.

Adopting a friend
We work hard to find the best home for our dogs. We want this home to be their forever home. An adoption application is required with a vet reference. A home visit is also done. PERMANENT, SECURE FENCING IS REQUIRED Our adoption donation for most dogs is $275.00 for our dogs and this money is used to cover vet expense, spay/neuter charges, transport expense and caring for our dogs until they are adopted. A senior dog age 8 or older and our special needs dogs, we ask for $175.00 donation. This adoption donation is lower because you may need more health care for the seniors or special needs. We want them all to find a happy home and to be loved forever. FENCING FOR THIS BREED NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST 5 FOOT HIGH.
NOTE: The electric underground fencing is unacceptable for this breed.

More about this rescue

Please note: We are not a shelter. We are a group of volunteers. All of our dogs are fostered at someone's home OR at Old Farm Kennels. They are loved by their foster parents, some of them are socialized and their personalities and traits are well known by the foster family.
