Why Luna might be the one for you:
Meet Luna! This sweet, energetic girl is learning that the world around her isn't so scary and most people are nice. With a little patience and some tasty treats, she opens up and her true personality shines. Luna will do best in a calm home where all members of the family are old enough to read and appropriately respond to her body language. She is friendly, mellow and loving, and she wants to make her people happy and is eager to learn. Luna loves a good game of fetch and a long walk, but is not a candidate for off-leash dog parks. She asks that she be the only pet in your home, and in return you will be rewarded with cuddles, kisses and head bumps asking for pets. We suspect that you will soon get a rollover as she asks for a belly rub or two. If you're looking for a loyal companion that will love you with all her heart, contact us at the info above to learn more about Luna today!

At SDHS:
Luna has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. She is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
