Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Sawyer! He is a 6 ½-7 yr old neutered male Retriever/Lab mix that weighs 56 lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/21 as a stray. He has such a kind gentle soul that you can see in his beautiful brown eyes. You can tell he hasn’t had the best life so far, but he hopes his final loving family will come to the shelter to meet him. He is still underweight so we continue to feed him twice a day. Tho he does have some arthritis, once he gets moving, he does very well. He enjoys going for walks and will raise his nose for the smells, and enjoy the warm sun on his skin. He is a happy, easy going, friendly, yet curious guy. He walks well on a leash and takes treats gently. He enjoys being petted too. As he walked past other dogs barking at him, he showed no interest. If you do have another dog in the home, please ask the shelter for a dog test. If you take one look into Sawyers eyes, you will see a soul you cannot live without. Come meet him!
