Meet Joey, the ultimate snuggle bug with a playful twist! This affectionate black kitten is all about his people and loves being close—he’ll happily curl up on top of you the moment you sit or lie down. Joey doesn’t mind being held and will soak up all the love and attention you can give.

He’s got plenty of energy to burn, often zooming around or initiating playtime with his sister, Phoebe. While not the chattiest kitten, Joey has a lot to say when food is involved—this boy takes his mealtime seriously!

If you’re looking for a lively, loving companion who brings both cuddles and entertainment, Joey is ready to fill your home with joy.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
