Carmen is an adorable puppy with the cutest pair of big, floppy ears that are impossible to resist! She`s playful and curious, always ready to explore her world and show off her boundless energy. Whether she`s bouncing around with her favorite toy or happily chasing after a ball, Carmen is always up for an adventure.Come meet her today!
~ Carmen is very active, she loves to run, play and get lots of love from everybody she meets. ~ She is looking to find a family that is ready to work on training with her by signing up for puppy school. ~ Carmen has a big voice, and she is not afraid to use it! ~ Though we do not know for sure what breeds carmen may have in her, we do think she has characteristics and personality traits of a hound type dog. Because of this her new owners have to do some research on owning a hound type dog and what that is like so they are set up for success when adopting her!
Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed: - High Energy - Under-Socialized - Jumpy / Mouthy - Vocal - Little to no training
Explanation of Behaviours: - Young puppy that is high energy and needs plenty of attention, training, exercise and enrichment daily. - Will need to be worked and trained with to improve difficult behaviours such as mouthing and jumping. - They will need to be socialized a lot in a proper and safe way to help them be set up for success throughout their whole life ahead of them. Puppies need plenty of socialization but this should be done properly. Do not force them into situations but instead encourage them to have a positive experience with new things. Speak further with your trainer to ensure they are being socialized in all the right ways! - Carmen can be vocal at times and will need a new home without shared walls.
This dog would benefit from: - An active home - Lots of training - Lots of time and attention - Lots of socialization - No apartments
Training needs/behaviours that need to be worked with for this dog: - Basic training - Basic manners - Jumping up and mouthing - Socialization - including working on nervousness in new environments and situations

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
