My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ava, a charming feline fresh from Kings County, currently adjusting to her new surroundings in San Francisco. Right now, Ava is feeling a bit shy as she takes in all the new sights and sounds. With time and patience, her sweet and gentle personality is sure to shine through.

Once Ava feels safe and secure, she’ll show her affectionate side, enjoying quiet moments basking in sunbeams or sitting close by as your loyal companion. She’s the perfect match for someone with a calm and understanding home, ready to help her build confidence and trust.

Ava’s journey has brought her to the big city, and now she’s looking for a forever family who will give her the love and patience she needs to thrive. Could that be you?

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
