Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Tina is a 2 year old, cropped and docked, black and tan female Doberman. She is playful, happy, and energetic. Tina is crate and house trained. She needs a little time to warm up to other dogs but Tina would love to have a canine playmate at home.
Tina is looking for an active home with people who are committed to doing training, activities, and brain games daily. Tina LOVES to play fetch. Balls Are Life. Tina loves to chase anything that moves. Squirrels, rabbits, birds, bicyclists and runners are all worthy of being chased. Because of this she may do best with older kids who can be mindful not to incite her to chase. Due to her love of chasing, Tina will not be placed in a home with cats, small mammals, or birds.
In general, Tina can be shy when meeting new people. But for folks who are patient she quickly warms into a Velcro Doberman who wants to be in the room with you and snuggle on the couch too.
Tina is smart and treat-motivated. She would do well with someone willing to train her and help her work through some of her fears, but that will take time. Tina gets very excited when she sees other dogs while she is on a leash. For now, Tina needs a fenced yard so you can keep neighborhood walks to the minimum and during quiet times. Tina would do best in a suburban or rural home with less pedestrian and canine traffic. She could be a single dog or go to a home with a calm, but playful partner pup, if the humans can commit to slow introductions. Tina has been happily coexisting with a 50-pound senior female dog in her foster home for three weeks.
If you think you may be the right fit for Tina please contact us. Tina is fostered in Virginia.
