Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet me at the mobile adoption event on Saturday, November 23rd at Woodlands Pet Food & Treats Novato from 12-3pm (unless adopted before 3pm). An onsite sign-in sheet will open one hour before the event.
(From our foster person) Gonzo's personality is as strong as it is loving-this guy is definitely an alpha male who likes to assert himself. He thrives with a confident leader who can provide consistent guidance and structure. He's also incredibly smart and learns super quickly!
Since coming to us, Gonzo has picked up "sit," "stay," and improved his recall skills. With a little commitment to training and consistency, he'll be a phenomenal companion -he's already so affectionate and eager to connect.
What makes Gonzo special? - Excited for Everything: Gonzo gets thrilled about every little thing, so clear boundaries are essential. He's making progress in staying calm longer, but consistency is key!
- Learning Commands: He's about 70% there with the "potty" command-he's learning that being outside isn't just for playtime! It's best to take him out every few hours, and patience is a must, especially when he's hunting for the perfect spot to do his business.
- Loves to Play: Gonzo's a fetch enthusiast! He'll bring the toy back endlessly and is ready for more every time
- Adventurous Spirit: Whether it's hiking, beach days, or long walks, Finn is all in. He's got incredible stamina and loves exploring the outdoors.
He tends to want all the attention (think humping or rushing to be first in the mix for everything - can be quite in your space with that). A calm, assertive dog might balance him or he might enjoy being a single dog.
High Energy: Mealtime excites him, but we've taught him the "wait" command, and he's catching on fast. He also responds well to "OK!" paired with a clap to release him from a command. But he can have moments where it's clear he needs interaction.
He would love to find an active home, someone confident and ready to provide leadership, structure, and plenty of physical activity -he's high-energy and thrives on engagement.
Gonzo has been an absolute joy, and we'll miss him dearly. He's smart, loving, and has a beautiful soul that will bring so much love to the right home! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 11.88 Age: 1yrs 2mths 3wks
