HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please contact Kathryn at kvry@arl-iowa.org.
---
- A polite, loving girl who likes to snuggle and give kisses
- Likes laying in bed with lots of pillows and blankets, will crawl under the bed to explore
- Does well on a leash and even better with a harness; enjoys sniffing lots of new things on walks
- Can be shy around new people at first but will be cuddling in no time if you let her approach at her own pace (bonus points if you have treats for her!)
- Sleeps well at night
- Smart girl lady who already knows sit and would likely enjoy learning more skills with you
- May take some time to warm up to new dogs and may prefer some dogs over others; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs (dog intro recommended)
- Needs a teens and above home
- The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
