Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
By many accounts, Diamond is the perfect dog. She is happy going for walks or lounging with you on the couch. She knows many cues such as "sit, "go lay down, "wait, "shake and "other paw.
She is extremely attuned to her people and she wants to learn and please. She has a positive history with dogs (including small dogs)! She doesn't mind time in the crate, as long as there's lots of space and a really soft bed in there.
There's a few other things you should know about Diamond. She had a broken back leg in her previous life which has caused some arthritis; she doesn't mind though- she can still walk and play with the best of them! Also, Diamond gets frustrated when her new friends are behind a fence and can't come over to play. Diamond may not do well in a home with a chain link fence and a dog next door - unless they were real life buddies. Diamond gets especially amped up when dogs walk by at her foster home, which she's working on in training.
If you're looking for a best friend and you think Diamond may be the one for you, please email her foster mom at ringutti@gmail.com.

More about this shelter
Mission:
Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, works together with our community better the lives of animals through justice, prevention, and life-saving care.
Vision: A just and compassionate world for all animals.
Lollypop Farm is not your typical animal welfare organization. We don’t classify ourselves as merely a shelter, simply taking in and rehoming pets. Rather, we are your partner. We’ll work with you to build a just and compassionate world for all animals–to save animals from abuse and suffering, to find a resource to keep your pet, to guide you in adopting a new pet, to make the tough decision to say goodbye to your family friend or to share information on how to help animals in your daily life.
