What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
This is Sitka, a 2 1/2 year old male, almost all white, Husky and American Eskimo mix. I was Sitka’s original owner from when he was a puppy until I gave him to a new family last year. I had to find a new family for him that would love and continue raising him well the way I did since I had too many responsibilities surfacing in my life at the time. This past Sunday on the 17th I received an email from American Kennel Club (Sitka is microchipped) that he was reported lost and was in the care of an animal shelter. Since I am his original owner I was alerted along with his owners at the time. The family had apparently purposely let him out from their property and when the shelter tried reaching out to them, they denied every call until finally answering and stating they didn’t want him anymore after a year and 5 months of being in there care. If anyone is willing to take in Sitka and give him a home I would be truly grateful.
