We were called by a local auto body shop to rescue not one, but two litters of kittens. The hazards to animals in a garage are everywhere and this situation was surely not ideal. Two moms and ten kittens were pulled from the location. The adults were spayed and returned to roam the property. The little ones were bathed and made comfortable in a safe environment. Born in late July, 2024, Piper, a beautiful tabby girl, is by far the tiniest of the bunch. Her spunk far exceeds her size and she wrestles with all of her bigger siblings. She would love to have a buddy in her new home.
Piper is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!!
It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
