My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Roxy, a 6-month-old female purebred black lab looking for her forever home. This wonderful black lab girl puppy is good with kids and other dogs, making her the perfect addition to any family. Roxy is a sweet girl who was surrendered through no fault of her own - her former owner had a housing situation that prevented them from keeping her. Now, Roxy is ready to find a loving family who will provide her with the care and compassion she deserves. If you`re looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy and love into your home, consider adopting Roxy today. Let`s give this sweet girl the happy ending she deserves. Adopt Roxy and make a difference in her life.

Make sure to bring your dog and family to the appointment you make.

More about this shelter

We are a local non-profit organization run and staffed by your neighbors. We make decisions on caring for homeless, unwanted, abandoned and abused domestic animals based on what we believe is best for them. We have no affiliation with any larger group and we receive no funding from any larger group that might influence our decisions or actions.

We advocate only for the animals in our care to help them find their forever home with you.

UPAWS does not receive operating funds from any governmental agency. We rely on donations from our neighbors and friends to make our efforts possible. We save consistently 98% of the animals who come to us – which is an award-winning success story. We want to educate everyone on proper animal care so there soon won’t be the three percent who come to us too sick or wounded to be saved. It’s your support that makes this dream possible.
