My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there human, you can call me Socket! I am a friendly fella who is in need of a furever home, think you could help? I can be a little nervous with new people and especially in unfamiliar environments and I need some time to warm up before I show my true self. Once I`m comfortable with you I love to be pet all over and especially adore having my chin and neck scratched for me. When there are no humans around I can be found lounging around in my favourite spots while I wait for the hands of unconditional love to pet me once more! Come meet me at Yay for Strays Cafe starting November 28th!

More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
