My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Ada, and I’m a year old Red Coonhound with plenty of energy and personality. I weigh about 50lbs. I love people and other dogs of all sizes, although my foster mom says I can be "a bit much" for some friends—I just have a lot of playful energy to share!

Some of my favorite things are bird watching, trail walks, zoomies with my puppy pals, flirt pole and playing ball. I’m also very food-motivated (sometimes too motivated—I’m still learning that I can’t help myself to whatever’s on the counter or in the trash!). Like a true hound, I occasionally express my opinions with a howl or two. I’m a smart girl and already know my name, can come when called, sit, down and I’m fully potty trained and kennel trained.

I’m looking for an active human who loves outdoor adventures like hiking, biking, and playing fetch—anything to keep me busy and out of trouble! I’ll also need continued training and socialization to help me grow into the wonderful companion I’m meant to be.

My ideal home would have no kids under 10 years old and a fenced yard where I can run and play. I can’t wait to meet my forever family!
