My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a little lap dog?! If so, you need to meet Coraline, affectionately known as Cora!

At a whopping 6 pounds of tan sweetness, Coraline is a 12-year-old chihuahua who has mastered the art of living her best life. A certified professional snuggler, Cora's ideal day involves being held like the royalty she is, carried around in a stylish baby sling (bonus points if it matches your outfit), or cuddling in the warmest lap available.

Cora has some mild issues with her heart that she takes medication for. She saw a cardiac vet specialist who thinks she is at low risk for worsening of her condition if she continues taking her medication - yay! This pint-sized pup has impeccable leash manners and adores her daily walks, proving that even the smallest legs can cover a lot of ground. While Cora loves her foster dog sibling and gets along beautifully with any dog she meets, she's not shy to let you know if someone tries to step on her tiny toes - a chihuaha's signature sass!

Cora thrives in a cozy environment where she can bask in attention and affection. She's the perfect mix of low-maintenance and lovable, and she's ready to find her forever throne-err, home. Could that be with you?

Additional adoption info

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.

Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.

We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
